Budget & Finance

Robyn Cook

Finance Manager

Robyn Cook

The Administrative and Finance section handles public information and customer service, records management and retention, electronic communication and social media, minutes of meetings, policies and procedures, payroll, accounts payable / receivable, out-of-district billing, grant accounting, insurance issues and concerns, budgeting, human resource, invoicing for ambulance services, and clerical support for all areas of CVFD.  Ambulance revenues are second only to property taxes as a major source of income for the District. The District is audited annually by an independent auditor to confirm that CVFD is following acceptable accounting practices and manages the taxpayers’ monies appropriately.  In addition to the Administrative Manager the section includes an Administrative Accounts Assistant and an Administrative Records Assistant. The Camp Verde Fire District has set high standards of transparency and accountability.  Camp Verde Fire District has experienced a 40.96% decrease in our assessed valuation since 2009/2010.  With the turbulent economy and the forecast for the 2014 – 2015 unclear and the new State Legislation that will limit the growth of fire districts the CVFD staff and Board began the  budgeting process for the 2013 – 2014 fiscal year.  Over several budget workshops the proposed budget decreased $734,582.18 from the previous year and had to include raising the mil rate to $3.25.  The budget was adopted by the Board on July 11, 2013.  Printed copies of the budget are available at the Administration office.
