About Management

The Camp Verde Fire District is managed administratively through a standard chain of command consisting of Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and Chief.

A firefighter may promote to any of these positions. In addition, there are other opportunities for personal growth and development through training and individual application.

Reserve Firefighters earn an hourly rate and are eligible to be considered for promotion to a full time firefighter position when one becomes available.

Camp Verde Fire District employs 24 Full Time Firefighters. The shift schedule is 48/96. We are always accepting applications for for Reserve Firefighter candidates. For more information regarding our Reserve program please click here.

The Camp Verde and Montezuma Rimrock Fire District’s are collectively seeking dedicated, motivated individuals to fill Reserve Firefighter positions in progressive organizations in the Verde Valley. Applicants must have their FF I & II, EMT certified, and have a current CPAT card.

Education Resource:

FireScience.org, is an organization dedicated to providing career and education information for the Fire Science community. They recently launched an Arizona guide focused on providing career and education information. They provide a list of schools and programs from the U.S. federal government National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), which contains a database of accredited Fire Science / Prevention / Safety Technology majors.
